Keli is the sun, surf, and starry-sky seeker behind Hawaiian Sunday. Growing up in Kona, Keli found inspiration from local Hawaiian life. Her art aims to capture the easy feeling of a Hawaiian Sunday, a day with no plans, no agenda, no timeline – days to keep surfing when the waves were too fun or say yes to impromptu pau hana gatherings. She hopes her art allows you to revel in that Hawaiian Sunday feeling, when time falls away and all the colors, sounds, and scents of Hawaiʻi bloom bright and full, allowing you to enjoy all the small, sunny, happy moments and carry them with you any day of the week.

Terry Field, an artist immersed in the vibrant essence of Hawaiʻi for over three decades, channels the splendor of the islands into her art. Hailing from Los Angeles, she found her muse in the kaleidoscopic beauty of Hawaiʻi’s florals, seascapes, and shells, capturing their ephemeral grace on canvas. Inspired by the seamless symphony of nature, her work mirrors the perfect rhythms she witnesses daily. With a background in fine arts and education, boasting a bachelor’s degree in fine art and a master’s in education, she infuses her creations with a solid understanding of technique and expression. Terry’s passion for sharing her art led her to establish Art House Hawaii, a sanctuary of creativity nestled in Kona, where she hosts engaging Paint & Sip sessions, inviting others to experience the joy of painting.

John is an attorney by profession and artist by passion. His motto is, “Why wait til retirement?” He grew up on ʻOahu and has called Hawaiʻi Island home for over a decade. Shortly after starting his own estate planning law practice, John started acrylic painting. What started as a hobby has bloomed into a passion.

Along with being inspired by the golden shores of the Kohala coast and sweeping views of Waimea, John paints to inspire joy. Whether it’s through the motifs of a favorite vacation, memory, or a breathtaking view. His style commonly bridges the themes of landscape, quilt, play, and portraiture. John enjoys bringing joy to life in commissioned paintings.

His artistic process usually starts with a person and is sparked by a conversation about what delights them. Commissioned paintings can be based off of photographs, places, or concepts. Each painting is one-of-a-kind and is based on what touches the intended owner. John works with acrylic on canvas and customizes each piece for the client’s taste and space.

Heidi Buscher received an MFA in ceramics from San Francisco State University in 2001. She has worked in many media including ceramic sculpture, bronze sculpture, acrylic painting, and pottery. After a hiatus spent raising young children and teaching full time, Buscher returned to a vibrant art practice with a new painting series that evokes a sense of nostalgia and connection to the people and places that came before us. Through mythology and storytelling, the works reference our connections to the past, while threading them forward through a contemporary lens of expressionistic mark making.

Christian Enns graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Laguna College of Art and Design in California and has studied art in over thirty countries around the world. He transforms his experiences into his work through shifting and exaggerating colors, creating a visual excitement that is reflective of eternity–the mysteries of life and nature unfolded. Currently living seaside in Puakō on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, he enjoys quality time in his studio, spending time with the woman of his dreams, surfing, sculpting, fishing, creating short films and studying classical art.

Gay Jefferson is a watercolorist and printmaker who works primarily with the foliage and flora of Hawaiʻi as her imagery. After catching a first impression on location, she returns to the studio to complete her work, interweaving reality with memory and invention.

A native New Yorker, Gay came to the Hawaiian Islands in 1965. She has studied painting with Hiroki Morinoue and Robert E. Wood, among others, and has taught classes in watercolor at the Honolulu Academy of Arts since 1992.

Her paintings and fine art prints are in the collections of the Bank of Hawaii, the Persis Collection, the Honolulu Academy of Arts and The Contemporary Museum.

She is also the mother of our founder, Steve Jefferson.
